What sports can I track with Rankat? ▾
Rankat works for any head-to-head sport or game, and our users prove it! We've got groups playing table tennis, tennis, padel, badminton, pickleball, squash, football, pool, darts, chess, golf, boule, volleyball, cornhole, poker, BJJ, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, CS2, Magic: The Gathering, and plenty more. If you can score it head-to-head, you can rank it. Just create a separate leaderboard group for each sport your crew plays.
How does the ELO rating system work in Rankat? ▾
Every player starts at ELO 1200. After each match, the ELO algorithm adjusts both players' ratings based on the result and the expected outcome. Beating a higher-ranked player earns more points than beating a lower-ranked one.
Is Rankat free? ▾
Yes, Rankat is completely free to download and use on both iOS and Android. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases required to use the leaderboard and ELO tracking features.

A tournament is a one-off event with a fixed set of players, a format (round robin or single elimination), and a clear winner at the end. Use leagues for season-long rivalries, and tournaments for office cups, weekend events, or settling things in a single day.
What tournament formats does Rankat support? ▾
Rankat supports round robin (every player plays every player, with a standings table and shared placements on ties) and single elimination (a bracket with auto-generated byes). Both formats work in 1v1 mode or in team mode, so you can run anything from a 4-player ping pong knockout to an 20-team padel league weekend.
How do players join a tournament? ▾
Every tournament gets a unique join code. Share the code with your players, they enter it in the Rankat app, and they're added to the participant list. Once you start the tournament, Rankat generates the bracket or round robin schedule automatically.
